By definition, vision is personal. I see faces and flowers and fedoras and families through my own lens, my own point of view. My vision is also professional, both as a still photographer and as a director of sophisticated, clever, national television commercials and corporate films.
Each discipline enhances and inspires the other. It's all about having a trained eye, and in the case of photography, the ability to see still images that are deeply moving.
The finished photograph that I send out into the world aspires to be a gift as much as a message.
Susan Sontag once said, "Life is not about significant details, illuminated in a flash, fixed forever. Photographs are." Photographs are.
